Born in Kyiv, Ukraine, Albert Saprykin entertains himself by writing music, building web apps, and designing sticker packs, as well as curating diverse musical projects. His portfolio features everything from festivals and 360° broadcasts to sound installations and the occasional proposals for reforms in Ukrainian cultural policy.
He studied composition and piano in Kyiv (Glier Music Institute, National Music Academy of Ukraine) and Graz (Kunstuniversität Graz), and is currently pursuing studies in electronic composition at Freiburg Musikhochschule with Alexander Grebtschenko.
In 2015, together with friends, he co-founded Kyiv Contemporary Music Days—a concert and educational platform for new music—which he continues to lead with pride.
His biography also includes a period of advocacy for the new music community within the public sector: he served at the Ukrainian Institute (2018–2020) and at the State Agency of Ukraine for Arts and Art Education (2020–2022), both newly established institutions at the time.
